Osteosarcoma

DEFINITION

Osteosarcoma is a type of bone cancer that begins in the cells that form your bones. Osteosarcoma is most often found in the long bones in your arms and legs, though it can occur in any bone.

Osteosarcoma tends to occur in children and young adults, but it can also occur in older adults. Osteosarcoma treatment often involves surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
