This medical discipline studies pulmonary tuberculosis: causes of its epidemiology, mechanisms of pathophysiology, methods of diagnostics, new approaches to treatment and prophylaxis.

 

Pulmonary tuberculosis is dangerous for both adults and children. Therefore, vaccinating against TB is necessary in the Obstretric department.

Alerting symptoms:

  • Continuous subfebrile fever;
  • Irritability, changes in mood;
  • Fatigue, malaise, pallor, skin dryness;
  • Lymph node enlargement, weight loss;
  • Cough similar to whooping cough, hoarseness;
  • Sleep disturbances, changes in appetite, sweating.

Tuberculin test is a specific diagnostic tool which enables us to determine increased sensitivity to the microorganism and to choose the appropriate treatment plan.
