Proctology

Proctology is the study of diagnosis and treatment of the rectal pathologies. The most common and uncomfortable disease in proctology is represented by hemorrhoids- pathological dilation of the hemorrhoidal blood vessels, which is manifested by intermittent bleeding, prolapse and frequent inflammation. This disease is characterized by 4 specific stages.The methods of treatment differ in those stages and vary according to the disease condition. Surgical intervention is reccomended when the disease is in 3rd or 4th stage. Other proctological pathologies include: rectal fisssures, anal fissures, paraproctitis, etc.
